He is notable for being the first person ever to quit the game, and the first person eliminated, from the second generation as a whole.

Ed told the host that the Prime Minister has asked to sit down and wait to start upon his arrival in "Master of Stealth and Disguise." When he was ignored and placed on the Sanur tribe, he expressed his wishes to withdraw from the competition, calling it "unparliementary."
He also indicated that he was not happy with Jaclyn's vulgar actions, and said that the Prime Minister has asked for no arses on camera. He later suggested that the tribes should be split up into four tribes of three people. At the challenge, he shouted "point of order" multiple times to get everyone's attention. After his tribe lost the first challenge, Ed laid his torch down at Tribal Council, claiming that the game was "unconstitutional."
